Repegs
Also know as Boundary Survey, Identification Survey, Re-establishment Survey
This type of survey identifies the corner of lots and the boundary lines of your Lot. On completion of your survey you will receive boundary pegs in the ground and a certificate from a Licensed Surveyor. Our Surveyors are fully experienced in surveying your boundaries in the metropolitan and rural areas. There are multiple steps to determine your boundaries.
1.0 Landgate Search.
Landgate stores all the old survey records within your area when the suburb was first created. We need these records from Landgate to be able to find the survey monuments at the intersections of roads. This process can involve looking up the original plans and filedbooks to determine how the street was established in the first instance. This generally takes about 1-2 hours depending on the complexity.
2.0 Measure the distance between found marks.
Our Licensed Surveyors need to find enough original survey marks to be able correctly identify your boundaries. This would involve finding the survey monuments which are generally steel spikes buried near the corners of streets.
Once the marks are found and measured the Licensed Surveyor is eligible to establish your boundaries. The surveyor will allocate the boundaries for all lots within your street. This will ensure each owner is entitled to their true boundary frontage.
3.0 Place Boundary Corners
After the calculations are completed the surveyor is able to place marks at the corners of your lot. Our surveyors will also check the correctness of each fence and check for any encroachments.
4.0 The Certificate
As the boundaries have been surveyed you will receive a cerificate from the Licensed Surveyor that has completed your job. This is a requirement as a Licensed Surveyor.
